Throughout her career, Audrey Hall has been asked to lead at moments when organizations needed to grow stronger, communities needed to come together, and complex challenges required steady leadership and clear direction. An executive leader, communicator, and consensus builder, she has built a career spanning media, business, healthcare, and public service, with a consistent focus on strengthening organizations, improving outcomes, and bringing diverse stakeholders together to solve problems.

She was first appointed by the Senate President to the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women in 2018, where she currently serves as Treasurer. She has also served as Vice Chair of the Commission, Chair of the Finance Committee, Chair of the COVID-19 Impact Committee, Vice Chair of the Legislative Committee, and Secretary of Finance.

Born in New York and a Massachusetts resident since 1989, Audrey began her career as a radio news reporter and television news journalist at an NBC affiliate before working in New York City’s advertising industry while also serving as a radio news announcer. She went on to become an award-winning regional and corporate marketing and advertising executive in the cable television industry before breaking glass ceilings as one of the few women to serve as a regional general manager, overseeing cable operations across 31 Massachusetts communities.

Her executive leadership also includes serving as General Manager of an NPR member station and Executive Director of an assisted living community with a secure dementia care program—experiences that broadened her understanding of aging, caregiving, and family systems. As a strategic consultant, she has advised startup companies on business and organizational development, marketing, and funding, helping leadership teams build strong foundations for long-term growth.

Public service has been a constant throughout Audrey’s life. She served for more than twenty years as an elected Town Meeting Member, including twelve years as Chair of the Ways and Means Committee, where she helped guide municipal priorities through careful fiscal stewardship. She also served on education and planning and zoning committees, and led Parent Teacher Organizations across 13 schools, with a focus on sound, informed governance, educational opportunity, and equitable access to community resources.

For more than twenty-five years, Audrey has also served as host and executive producer of The Audrey Hall Show, creating a forum where respected experts, public officials, innovators, and individuals with lived experience engage in thoughtful conversations that move beyond headlines and sound bites.

Across her career, Audrey has consistently worked to leave organizations stronger than she found them. Her leadership is grounded in a simple philosophy: respect the mission, keep the focus on purpose, listen generously, and build consensus with integrity, civility, and a shared commitment to the greater good. It is an approach that continues to guide her work on behalf of the women and girls of the Commonwealth.

For Audrey, advancing the status of women is not simply a public responsibility—it is the natural extension of a lifetime spent strengthening organizations, expanding opportunity, and serving the public good. She believes every generation has a responsibility to leave stronger institutions, broader opportunities, and a more equitable Commonwealth than it inherited, and she continues to bring that commitment to her service on behalf of the women and girls of Massachusetts.
