Research & Reports
Below you can find an archive to some of MCSW’s research and reporting on the status of girls, women, and families across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The reports consist of information regarding education, health, advocacy and educational programming, future policy recommendations, legislative efforts, and many other key issues that impact our daily lives.
Public Hearings: Data and Insights
To fulfill our mission, the Commission regularly hosts public hearings in person, online, and with hybrid options throughout the year. These regional public hearings are held across the state from Boston to the Berkshires, with the goal to collect data, testimony, insights on women’s issues and concerns in MA. In the past, our hearings have brought attention to issues such as economic independence and self-sufficiency, domestic violence, and access to education and resources that support women and their families, and more. Testimony gathered at public hearings directly informs the Commission’s legislative agenda and policy priorities we advocate for year-round.
The MCSW’s charge is clear – we exist to empower the women of the Commonwealth. We are the bridge between the issues you face and the decisionmakers who have the ability to change, alter, or prioritize policy changes to make our lives easier.
