We want to hear from you!

Join the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women (MCSW) and partners for a virtual public hearing focusing on the issues women of color face here in the Commonwealth.

In 2021, the MCSW released a report on the impact of COVID-19 and related recommendations to improve the status of all women of color here in the Commonwealth. As we reflect on the 5 years since COVID, we’re releasing an update survey and holding a public hearing to hear from you regarding issues that women of color face here in Massachusetts.

Public Hearings are an opportunity for women across the Massachusetts to give testimony on issues that matter most to them, which directly inform MCSW’s policy priorities. The event is free and open to the public – and entirely virtual. Leaders and residents from across the Commonwealth are invited to attend, and testimony is open to any member of the public, including elected officials, to learn more about the topic at hand and hear directly from residents and constituents.

Translation, ASL, and other language and accessibility options are available – register to indicate your need.

What: MCSW Virtual Public Hearing: Impact of Issues on Women of Color in MA
When: Wednesday, February 26, 2025
Time: 6-8pm ET
Where: Register here!

Why: The Commission holds multiple public hearings around the Commonwealth each year. The purpose of our public hearings is to give community stakeholders the opportunity to discuss issues and concerns important to women, as well as the gaps or barriers they have experienced in the provision of services available.

We’re seeking registrants to give testimony on issues facing women, children, and families across the Commonwealth. Your input on issues that matter to you directly informs the MCSW legislative agenda and policy priorities. Join us and make your voice heard!
