About the Girls Empowerment Leadership Initiative (GELI)

Here at the MCSW, our mission is to advance the rights of all women and girls. We’re committed to building the future of the Commonwealth – starting by investing in the young women of Massachusetts. GELI seeks to empower young women ages 14-22 across the Commonwealth to advocate for themselves and their communities by focusing on developing leadership and civic engagement skills through educational workshops, skill-building opportunities, and the opportunity to connect with peers across the state.

Join us in directly addressing inequities impacting women and girls with GELI by sponsoring this milestone event.

About the MCSW Trust Fund

The MCSW is an independent state agency that is funded by a line item in the state budget. Its Trust Fund was established in accordance with its enabling legislation in 2004 to provide funds for special projects and the additional expenses incurred as a result of these projects. This year’s GELI Summit will raise funds to support our MCSW Trust Fund that is used to fund initiatives like GELI and elevate the next generation of leaders, and to ensure we’re able to offer this crucial leadership programming for years to come. Join the MCSW as we celebrate more than 25 years of elevating the women and girls of the Commonwealth.
